SB 14, HB 1686 companion bill, would RESTRICT LIFESAVING HEALTHCARE for transgender adolescents, including puberty blockers and hormone therapy. This bill is yet another iteration of the attacks on our community across our country and we CANNOT let it pass in Texas. The lives of transgender and gender-expansive youth are on the line.
Transgender people of all ages deserve healthcare. It’s THAT simple.
Current Bill Status
SB 14: SB 14 was substituted to match HB 1686 and is now the main bill that will be on the House Floor Tuesday, May 2.
SB 1029: SB 1029 has been sent to the House but has not been assigned to committee.
HB 1686: HB 1686 will probably be left in committee since SB 14 is the main bill and the Senate has already voted on it.
